In some Toshiba laptops, the Toshiba PC Card controller (ToPIC) might incorrectly increase the voltage of 3.3-volt R2 PC Cards to 5 volts. This problem occurs because the driver for the Windows 2000 PC Card bus does not handle the voltage levels for R2 PC Cards correctly.

System Requirements This update applies to all Windows 2000 operating systems running on a Toshiba laptop with the ToPIC controller installed.
